Iron Guidance Limited is a grassroots charity based in Tees Valley, dedicated to empowering young people, their families, and the wider community by providing educational opportunities and developing life skills. The charity delivers a range of bespoke projects that are specifically designed to meet local needs, with a strong focus on enhancing academic achievement and personal growth.
Among its key initiatives, Iron Guidance manages the Holiday Activity Fund across Stockton, Billingham, Middlesbrough and Redcar and Cleveland offering essential support to young people and families during school holidays. The charity also runs the "Winter Warmer Hampers" project, providing food and essential goods to families facing challenges due to the cost of living and energy crisis.
Iron Guidance also leads the Children’s University in Teesside, a national programme that helps children aged 5 to 14 access high-quality learning opportunities outside of school hours. By participating in a variety of activities, such as sports, arts, and private lessons, children collect hours towards awards, certificates, and a celebratory ‘cap and gown’ graduation ceremony. This initiative aims to raise aspirations, reward participation, and foster engagement in lifelong learning.
As a grassroots organisation, Iron Guidance is deeply embedded in the local community and remains committed to making a tangible, positive impact on the lives and futures of young people and families in Tees Valley.
