Holiday Activity Fund
The Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme is a government initiative in England that provides free holiday club places to school-aged children from reception to year 11 who receive benefits-related free school meals. The programme offers healthy meals and enriching activities during school holidays, aiming to support children's health, well-being, and learning. We have delivered HAF in Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland and Stockton on Tees for the past four years.
Last year alone we provided 4020 healthy meals , and 52 trips including the cinema, local places of interest and bowling to children aged between 7 and 14 years old and in receipt of free school meals or experiencing financial hardship.
We also provided food and essential goods hampers to 370 families that are experiencing financial struggles due to the cost of living crisis.
