Who We Are.... Max Howard - Trustee. I created and ran animation studios for The Walt Disney Company in London, Paris, Orlando, and Los Angeles, working on some of Disney’s most memorable films, including Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King. As President of Warner Bros. Feature Animation, I oversaw such hit movies as The Iron Giant and Space Jam. At DreamWorks, I was co-executive producer for Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. Throughout my illustrious animation career, I have worked with UNICEF to bring health and social messages to developing countries in Africa, the Caribbean, and South America using animation, underscoring the important role this medium can play in overcoming ethnic and social prejudices
Sandra Davison -Trustee and Treasurer. With a solid background in administration and finance, I have spent many years providing support in various roles, including as a Management Information Officer for Tees Active Ltd. In this capacity, I was responsible for delivering accurate statistical information to the senior management team, contributing to informed decision-making and organizational efficiency. I was also responsible for ensuring the ICT systems were up to date. Now retired, I enjoy pursuing a variety of personal interests such as walking, reading, and solving jigsaw puzzles. These hobbies provide a welcome balance to a successful career in administrative and financial management. I am a Trustee for Iron Guidance as well as company Treasurer and I firmly believe that every child should be given the opportunity to achieve their potential. Hannah Madden -Trustee. I am a public health academic with nearly 20 years of experience working in UK universities. My research focuses on how our living environments affect our health, adverse childhood experiences, and improving community services. I have worked extensively with minority and vulnerable groups, adolescents, and looked after children. All my professional work aims to address health inequalities, and I am passionate about creating a fairer and more equitable society. Currently, I work at Liverpool John Moores University and have family connections in Teesside. I teach a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate health-related courses, aiming to equip future health and social care professionals to tackle the inequalities in our country. My expertise in research and evaluation also helps Iron Guidance demonstrate the impact of their work. In my day job, I spend a lot of time discussing social determinants of health and how deprivation and lack of opportunity can affect families. I became a trustee so I can get out of the classroom and use my skills to help Iron Guidance positively impact even more children, young people, and families. Daniel Williams - Trustee. I trained at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and bring decades of experience to my career as an actor, coach, director, and producer. Recently, I directed and produced HOME, a powerful documentary about racing pigeons that tackled mental health, community, and social decline. As the founder of DJW Talent, a thriving Teesside-based agency, I’ve built a dynamic community for actors, offering representation and guidance through my Masterclass Actor Training program. My hands-on approach helps talent grow their careers and craft.With a passion for elevating actors, I continue to make an impact in British entertainment, whether through my agency, on-screen roles, or behind-the-scenes work. I’ve recently completed filming with Universal Studios for a Live Action Franchise set to release in 2025. Vikki Cameron-Hall- CEO and Safeguarding Lead - My responsibilities include all strategic development, operational management, undertaking and supervising delivery. For the past 30 years I have worked in various community settings the heart of which has always been a focus around encouraging participation in learning opportunities for children and their families. Whilst working for Middlesbrough Council’s extended Schools team, I gained a degree in Sociology (2:1) the basis of which was community development. This has strengthened my understanding of the many issues surrounding families that can prevent them from engaging in either informal or formal education, especially those who live in areas of disadvantage. I am proud to work for a charity that supports families when they need it the most. |
